Vehicle Tracking Using Google Maps
The most up-to-date and detailed maps
Our vehicle tracking software shows you the real-time location of all or any of the vehicles on detailed Google mapping. You can toggle, at the touch of a button, between traditional mapping and aerial photographic images, or zoom in to see detailed, high resolution, panoramic street views.
- Google has become the world’s undisputed authority on mapping in recent years, which is why we’ve put the power of its cutting edge technology right at the heart of the Navman Wireless tracking system.
- Choose from four viewing options: traditional, aerial photographic, hybrid or street view, so wherever your drivers are, you can drill down to the image you need. With street view, you can see what the driver sees, including how wide a bridge is or where a site entrance might be hiding, helping you to route your drivers in to jobs more accurately. The street view option can also be useful when used historically. If your driver gets a disputed parking fine, for example, you can check sign-posting and double yellow lines to help resolve it.
- In-depth traffic reporting, detailing slow moving traffic as well as traffic speed, meaning you can improve response times and save fuel. Colour coding showing the most congested routes making it easy to spot and avoid affected roads.
- Search for locations using a full 7 digit postcode
- Fed up with your drivers filling up at over-priced petrol stations? With Navman Wireless, you easily add ‘points of interest’; for example petrol stations you know to be expensive, and then report on any activity within these areas. You can even request us to add all motorway service stations then identify drivers who are regularly using them. Stop this from happening and you’ll quickly start to see savings.
- You can easily draw multi-sided ‘geofences’ or boundary lines on a map and receive alerts if one of your vehicles enters or leaves this zone. For example, if a lorry enters a boundary around a distribution park, the goods can be made ready to save time when it reaches the warehouse.
