The technology behind your vehicle tracking system

The Navman Wireless vehicle tracking system requires four key components to work

To track a vehicle, we install our Qube tracking device, which contains a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, a SIM card and some digital storage capacity.
 
This equipment constantly receives signals from a series of satellites in orbit, which tell the Qube exactly where the vehicle is and this information is stored on the built-in digital storage. It also captures the time of day and information about your vehicle, for example if the ignition is on or whether the vehicle is moving.
 
At pre-set intervals the Qube tracking device then transmits the stored data to our servers using a mobile phone network.
 
Once the data reaches our servers, it is stored in your individual account and made available for you to access using our OnlineAVL software.
 
Our software, accesses our secure servers over the Internet to ‘grab’ the data generated by the Qube. The software interprets the data and display's the vehicles location on a mapping interface, on our range of user friendly reports and the customisable dashboard.
 
Using the location of the vehicle, the time of day and other information captured, you can easily see what route your vehicle has taken, if it is has broken the speed limit, if it was driven when it should have been parked up or if it has been parked when it should have been on the road!
