After much lobbying the plight of the Fair Fuel Campaign was heard earlier this week in a parliamentary debate, with nearly every MP present calling for transparency in fuel pricing.

The government should take heed and show that it is taking steps to ease concerns about the rising cost of fuel. The smoke screens and mirrors need to be put away and questions need to be answered, “Why is fuel tax so high?”, “Why are oil price reductions not reflected in pump prices?” and “Where is our £1.40 per litre actually going?”

Having followed the fair fuel campaign I was delighted to see this debate get sanctioned and hope that their efforts and worthy cause are recognised by the government. If you want to show your support visit http://www.fairfueluk.com/.

Below is a video of the debate, let us know which points stand out to you. I look forward to reading your comments.
